2010 Next Dimension Hair Show

Taylor Andrews is excited to announce the 7^th Annual Next Dimension Hair Show to benefit the YWCA Shelter for Battered Women and Children. The Next Dimension Hair Show was developed as a way to showcase the many talents of the students and staff of Taylor Andrews Academy, and as way to give back to the community.

Creative, entertaining and inspiring, The Next Dimension Hair Show has been called “One of the finest student shows in the country.” Twenty-one student teams from four locations across Utah will present their interpretation on the theme “Fairytales”. This years show will be hosted by North American Hairstyling Award winner and star of TV’s Shear Genius, Faatemah Ampey. Last year over 1400 people attended this inspiring event.

Larry Curtis, President of Taylor Andrews says: “I am once again very grateful to all the salon owners, hairdressers and of course parents who have pledged their support for this show. In addition, I am especially grateful to our sponsors without whom it would be impossible for The Next Dimension Hair Show to take place.”

“The majority of cosmetologists are women and so it holds a special place in our hearts to be able to give back to those women in need.” Additionally, Taylor Andrews staff and students support CUT IT OUT/Salons against domestic abuse. “We feel very strongly that it is important to raise awareness on domestic violence and help hairstylists and their clients seek treatment.” Says Curtis.

The Next Dimension Hair Show takes place at the Southtowne Expo Center at 7 p.m. On Thursday May 20^th.
